The global pandemic has changed life as we know it. The gigs, club nights and live performances we once knew and loved is no longer. But just because the world has changed does not mean that you can’t still have a good time. Indeed, like every other aspect of everyday life, nightspots have gone virtual in a bid to keep revellers connected during the COVID-19 induced lockdown.

Welcome to a new era of clubbing under quarantine, where your favourite dance party and DJ set are just a click away. So for those of you looking to let your hair down, here is our guide to some of the best virtual club nights you can enjoy in the week ahead. For these events and much more, keep checking Launchtrip+ for broadcast times and streaming links.

Homespun sees handpicked indie labels and record shop DJs from across the globe share their very best vinyl in this series of live-streamed DJ sessions. A partnership between Discogs with Audio-Technica, the events raise money for the MusiCares Covid-19 Relief Fund and will run hour-long sets every day until June 26.

Boiler Room

What originally began as a webcam taped to a club wall back in 2010, has since gone on to become one of the most sophisticated club night livestreams on the planet. But despite its previous pedigree, the Boiler Room has truly come into its own during lockdown, adding live sets from iconic DJs to an archive of more than 4,000 performances that are available on demand.

House of Yes

The physical version of House of Yes might have closed due to COVID-19, but this New York hotspot is keeping the party going with weekly digital dance parties via Zoom. With live events every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the House fo Yes is providing the barometer by which all other virtual club nights are being measured.

Club Quarantine

Perhaps the gold-standard for socially-distanced dance parties for the queer community, Club Quarantine hosts live parties each and every day from 9pm-12am EST. Taking place on Zoom with upwards of 400 people in attendance, it’s a testament to peoples’ ability to come together during even the most extreme of circumstances.

Club Matryoshka

Though it was originally founded before anyone had even heard of COVID-19, Club Matryoshka has flourished during lockdown. A members-only space hosted via a private Minecraft server in Manila, this virtual world boasts all the trappings of traditional club nights with avatars revelling amongst its various sound stages and DJ booths. Inclusive and open, it’s a safe space for anyone to enjoy and is every bit as awesome as that sounds.
