Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa is located along the coast of Florida’s panhandle otherwise known as the Emerald Coast. The resort is the largest full service Hotel in Northwest Florida and sits atop the sand on Miramar Beach making it the ideal location to stay. You are close to shopping (Silver Springs Premium Outlets), golfing, outdoor activities and are between Destin and Seaside, Florida.
Upon arrival we were surprised to learn our Junior Deluxe Suite not only included a King bed and a pull out couch but an adorable ship themed bunk bed set in an alcove in the entryway. This was great for my four year old and is ideal for families with one or two children. The alcove gives them their own area with a flat screen television.
The best perk to our kid friendly room was the balcony which overlooked the pool and most importantly, the serene Gulf waters.
The resort has everything you need for a family or couples vacation. Eight restaurants, a wonderful spa as well as two resort style pools and a kiddie pool. During our stay the resort hosted conferences for lawyers, weddings and family reunions. We met families and attendees from Chicago, Tennessee, New Orleans, Alabama and beyond. The resort is an easy drive or flight from many major cities in the south and beyond making it the perfect beach getaway escape for a weekend or extended stay.
For breakfast, check out Sandcastle's which offers a fabulous hot breakfast buffet with made to order omelettes as well as bacon, french toast, pancakes, fruit, and fresh baked goods like bagels, muffins and the choices are endless. For lunch, check out Barefoot Beachside Bar & Grill which serves local favorites like Mahi Mahi fish tacos and lunch staples like cheeseburgers and grilled cheese for kids. Lastly, try Seagar's Prime Steaks & Seafood for Filet, Ribeye, Porterhouse and more.
Palm trees, umbrellas and beach chairs line the resort which we chose to utilize during the day. We loved sitting on the 20,000 square foot private deck which overlooks the ocean while ordering drinks from Barefoot's Beachside Bar & Grill. My son loved the outdoor shop next to the pool where you can purchase floats and water toys.
The spa boasts 14,000 square feet of pure bliss as well as couples treatment rooms and male and female only lounges that each have a sauna, steam room, waterfall whirlpool and private locker rooms. Services include massages, facials, body treatments, manicures, pedicures and the serenity package includes all of the above. If you really want to indulge try the full day treatment or the Four Diamond package which includes wines from Seager's Prime Steaks & Seafood.
