Let's face it, glamping as a concept is pretty old news. From New York City terraces to Japanese forests, it's been reinvented a thousand times over, leaving us with little intrigue left. So imagine our surprise when we came across Sandat Glamping Tents, a luxury resort in Bali that caused us to reconsider our thoughts on the trend.

The quiet resort is located less than two miles from the lovely town of Ubud, and offers eight different suites characterized by color. The “blu oltremare” suite Tenda Ylang-Ylang is our personal favorite; translated to "color of the sky," it's decorated with blue accents inspired by the natural blues in Bali's landscape. Amenities include a round double bed, logs of petrified wood for the bedside, and a luxurious ensuite bathroom, though each room can actually be outfitted to the guest's own specifications. Overall, the website describes it as a "refined atmosphere suitable for those who want to enjoy a great view while comfortably lying in his bed."

Oh, and about that view. Each suite has its own private pool just steps from your bedside, surrounded by a tropical garden of coconut palms and lush, green plants. Booking the Ylang-Ylang tent varies by season, but typically sits around $300 USD per night including tax, a service charge, and breakfast. That's not a bad price to pay for your own piece of paradise.
