Nestled just seven kilometers outside the coastal town of Tofino, B.C., Pacific Sands Beach Resort offers a front-row seat to nature's most dramatic waterpark. The resort's 41-plus acres take in more than 1,000 feet of beach and 1,500 feet of undeveloped coastline on the crescent beachfront of Cox Bay.

As the only all-suite resort in Tofino, every room at Pacific Sands is oceanfront or offers ocean views with private decks or patios facing the beach. Additionally, each suite is replete with a number of amenities, including fully equipped kitchens, gas fireplaces, organic coffees and flat-screen TVs.

Central to Pacific Sands Beach Resorts' expansion are 42 Oceanside Suites equally suited to visitors keen to surf-in, surf-out and those who simply wish to relax can enjoy unobstructed water views from the balcony. The suites are available with either one or three bedrooms, and feature spacious floor plans with patios or balconies, full kitchens and bathrooms and cozy fireplaces to snuggle up beside in the evenings. The 506 square ft. one-bedroom suites sleep four, while the 878 square ft. three-bedroom suites sleep eight.

The standalone Oceanfront Edgewater Suite is the resort's shining star; an amenity-laden den of tranquility whose jewel is a 700 square ft. deck overlooking the ocean and mountains, complete with private hot tub and barbecue. The third-floor suite is equipped with full kitchen and two bathrooms; one king bed, queen bed and double sofa bed apiece and an elegant living room fireplace. The suite sleeps six and totals 878 square feet.

Additional upgrades to the resort include renovations to the existing Sand Dollar, Beachfront and Light House suites, which now feature updated bathrooms, kitchens, flooring and lighting, as well as new premium furniture, stainless steel appliances and fireplaces. A newly installed row of hammocks facing the ocean allows guests to sway in the breeze as they soak up the fresh sea air, while new barbecues areas invite leisurely evening sojourns around the grill.
