Go just about anywhere in North America (or in fact, the world) and it's hard not to come across a Starbucks. On top of a ski slope, at Disneyland, inside a bank vault, and now — in a National Park. At least, that's the plan.
Word on the street says Starbucks plans to open its next location at the stunning Yosemite National Park this spring. But the thought of enjoying a Venti Vanilla Frappuccino amidst the beauty of nature isn't to everyone's liking — 22,000 people's liking to be exact.
A petition was quickly started on Change.org to stop the Starbucks, saying “multinational corporations have no place in our national parks.”
And it's likely the people may be making some impact — with Aramak removing a job posting for a manager role at the store since the petition was started. You can sign the petition here.
