By now, Iceland's popularity as a tourist destination is pretty much fact. Partially fuelling this demand is the emergence of airlines such as WOW, giving travelers everywhere easy access to the amazing country.
And if you're in Canada, exploring Iceland just got that much easier; Icelandair has just extended its seasonal non-stop flights from Vancouver's YVR to Keflavik International Airport to run all year-round. Flights to Reykjavik will now depart twice a week on Fridays and Sundays at 3:45pm, while return flights will depart from KEF on Thursdays and Saturdays at 5:10pm.
And as if that wasn't enough good travel news, the beginning of 2018 will also see the non-stop route increase to three departures and three return flights a week. While this is all great, do be aware that Iceland is considering implementing a tourist tax soon – so it's best to grab those flights ASAP.
