If you've always dreamed of seeing the Northern Lights (and who hasn't?) then 2017 might just be your lucky year. Canada is partying hard for its 150th birthday, and not only has this translated into free national park entry, but the Northwest Territories are getting in on the celebrations too. More specifically, their tourism board are – and in the best way possible: by giving out free flights.
Too good to be true? Well, not really. Northwest Territories Tourism will be giving out 150 round trip flights to the region from Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton or Halifax. And entering to win can be done in one of two ways: by completing the contest entry form on this page, or by finding a 'winners' coupon inside one of 30,000 folders which will be distributed in the next few months (hint: check the tourism board's Facebook page for more info).
To add to the excitement, five ridiculously lucky people will win an even better prize: airline travel for two, hotel accommodation, and a bunch of cool activities in NWT. To see if you've been one of the lucky 150 (or super lucky 5), check out the winner announcements on February 21, March 21 and April 10. Fingers crossed.
