We all know that one of the biggest draws of traveling to Europe is the food. Between the golden French onion soups, al dente noodles, succulent sauces, and delicate pastries, it can be hard to know where to start, and where to really find the best of the best.

Luckily, a new map has been released by UK-based tour operator Thomson Lakes and Mountains, showing exactly which part of Europe is best for which kind of dessert. From calientes in Spain to lebkuchen in Germany, the map details different delights within Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and Italy. While admittedly it is missing some other significant European countries, it's certainly good enough to get you started.

Those with food allergies needn't be worried, either, as the map details a general ingredient run down. That way you know what you're getting into (read: what you might want to try first) and what you can expect. You can check out the full interactive map for yourself here.
