If ever there was an excuse to shamelessly photograph your brunch, this might just be it. Combining photogenic food with feel-good factor, @symmetrybreakfast (AKA one of our favorite Instagram accounts for satisfyingly symmetrical brunches) is teaming up with UNICEF UK's Children of Syria Fund to cook up a breakfast to remember at The Good Egg in hip Hackney.
Taking place on November 26 and 27 from 9am to 3pm, it'll be a Syrian-inspired feast, so expect tons of intricate small plates bursting with flavors from lamb babka and aubergine labneh, to pistachio atayef pancakes. Better still, on arrival you'll be greeted with a cheeky fig and prosecco cocktail or a date and banana smoothie. Breakfast of champions, right there.
But what really sweetens the deal is that this brunch is for a cause, which so desperately needs our attention. Last year UNICEF supplied one million Syrian kids with warm clothing, blankets, and other necessities for winter. As the heart-wrenching civil war shows no signs of stopping, they plan on doing even more this year.
With that said, £15 ($19 USD) out of your £39 ($49 USD) entry fee goes straight to the children's fund. Oh, and you have to book brunch tickets in either tables of two or four, so they can be served in perfect symmetry — also cool.
So, keep things charitable and delicious at The Good Egg this November. It's safe to say you'll feel like a pretty good egg yourself afterwards.
