Colorful English houses facades, pastel pale colors in London

From its world-class shopping to its huge green parks, its history and heritage, and broad selection of afternoon tea offerings, there's a ton of reasons why England's capital city is so popular — not just to visit, but to live, too.

And if you're thinking London might be the place for you, it's always a good idea to do your research on the best neighborhoods before making the trip. Lucky for you, The Sunday Times has just released its 'Best Places to Live Guide 2018'.

The top spot is...*drumroll*...Bermondsey. Yep, you may not have heard of it, but this south-east London district has beaten the recently redeveloped neighborhood of Peckham to the top spot. According to the guide, "Bermondsey’s ranking as the best place to live in London reflects the rise of an area that epitomises the modern urban good life.”

For the top 10, see below, or check out the full guide on The Sunday Times website.
