Last week, we broke the news that the world's best cocktail bar can now be visited in London, but if you fancy mixing things up a little, you can now visit 2016's winner in the same city. Multi-award winning 19th-century bar, The Dead Rabbit was voted the world's best bar last year and due to popular demand, is popping into one of London's most iconic hotels this summer - for one week only.
Hopping across the pond from New York's financial district, owners Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry previously worked at the Merchant Hotel in Belfast, before moving to New York to fulfill their dream of setting up an Irish bar, which they named after an Irish street gang that patrolled Lower Manhattan in the 1850s.
Claridge's, located in the fancy neighborhood of Mayfair, is recreating the bar's unique decor and ambiance, giving Londoners a taste of the bar's ragtime piano soundtrack, dark comic book-style cocktail menu and heart-warming comfort food. The menu will feature the likes of Irish coffee, a variety of signature cocktails and the largest collection of whiskey in the US. Food offerings will include lobster deviled eggs, Cumberland sausage rolls, and Irish lamb stew.
The Dead Rabbit takes over Claridge's from 15-22 August. You can find out more on their website.
