Adulthood, schmadulthood! We say to heck with boring grown-up stuff this winter and enjoy the simple childlike delights that come with snow, especially if you're in Los Angeles. Yes, LA. While the sunny Golden State is not usually accustomed to snowball fights and raucous snow sledding, The Big Orange is set to get its first ever tubing park.

Snow Day LA is due to open on November 17, at The Old Lodge in Echo Park. Stretching across nine acres of wintery wonderfulness, there'll be over 10,000 square feet of synthetic snow and tubing activities (or some serious snow angel making).

You can also expect a 30-foot snowman to be about, as well as food trucks that'll also be serving up warming winter beverages of hot cider and cocoa, and plenty of snacks to re-energize you for the next trek through that thick powder to the top of the tubing hill.

Snow Day LA will run through until December 23, with ticket packages ranging from $12- $24. There's also an option to purchase tickets to the park’s VIP Penguin Lounge for $45, where guests receive a penguin-themed Snuggie to wear while sipping on complimentary drinks. Okay, maybe just a little adultness will do this winter.
