Between watered-down drinks and cold, mushy food, we're well aware that some all-inclusive resorts cut corners to make the most of our money. One exception to the industry's bad habit is Mexico's Excellence Playa Mujeres, which recently took home the gold in TripAdvisor's 2016 Travelers' Choice Awards.
The adults-only resort sits right on the coast of Cancun with miles of white, sandy beaches edging alongside bustling nightlife options. The suites are sizeable, and feature private jacuzzis (with both indoor and outdoor access) and lavish, four-poster beds perfectly placed to take in the gorgeous views. The Junior suites are the smallest at 807 square feet, but the Imperial suite is where it’s at. This majestic beauty spans 2,560 square feet across two stories, and has its own rooftop terrace suite with a Plunge pool and lounge beds.
Oh, and those cut corners we mentioned with food and drink? You won’t have to worry about that. There are ten international, five-star restaurants serving just about any cuisine you could ask for, and eleven bars on top of that. That’s right, there's even more places to drink than there are to eat.
Let’s not forget about the world-renown spa, either. You can get a variety of treatments from Swedish and Shiatsu massages to coco body wraps and pearl facial masks, all tailored to your own specific needs and wants.
Room prices start at $444 USD for the Junior suite, and go up from there to $912 USD for the Rooftop Terrace suite. The Imperial suite isn’t currently available, but it'll be worth checking back every now and then.
