It was over 13 years since Mean Girls hit our screens - feel old yet? But much to the delight of girls and boys, young and old, everyone's favorite chick flick is back and meaner than ever - this time on the Broadway stage.
Yep, the 2004 comedy starring the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams has been adapted as a stage musical, which will debut in Washington, D.C. at the National Theatre on October 31 before officially moving to New York City the following April. Although the show won't be identical to the movie, the story has been brought into 2017 - complete with Snapchat, Instagram, and all the trimmings.
Tina Fey, the original screenwriter for the film, is also on board for the musical's script, along with her composer husband, Jeff Richardson, who will create the music for the show. If this concept sounds totally and utterly fetch to you, the American Express presale has already begun, and public on-sale begins October, 3.
