If there are two things that New Yorkers love when it comes to food and drink, it's ice cream parlors and cocktail bars. And starting this weekend, you can finally get the best of both worlds in the form of a boozy ice cream "barlour", thanks to beloved Harlem purveyors Tipsy Scoop.
A long-time favorite with locals, the intoxicated ice creamery is finally opening their first brick-and-mortar shopfront at 217 E. 26th St. in Gramercy this Sunday, May 7 at noon. With flavors such as chocolate stout topped with salty pretzel, cake batter vodka martini, and tequila Mexican 'hot' chocolate, there is no longer any debate about where the best place in town is to get your alcohol fix. There will be 15 flavors in all, with some options reaching 5% ABV.
And the best part is that Tipsy Scoop will be gifting a tote bag and a tank labelled "#Ice Cream Wasted" to the first 25 customers through their doors come Sunday; so come prepared and study the preview of their menu below:
