a cold coffee on the table at a paris coffee shop

New York is a city that's always changing and evolving, growing and fluctuating. Things come and go faster than we can keep track of, but there's one cool new spot opening in Brooklyn that we just had to let you in on.

A new hotel by the name of Baltic Huis will be opening at 489 Baltic Street this December, and with it comes an incredibly cool (and underground) coffee shop. The hotel, which has been designed by Gradient Architecture, boasts industrial touches that reflect the surrounding area, using art, local photography, and industrial relics to decorate the space.

It's neon signs, though, that ultimately point the way to the coffee shop, which serves the usual coffees, lattes, and cortados... among other things. Rumour has it if you whistler a secret Dutch password, you can also enjoy other treats like rare Japanese whiskeys. And while we haven't been able to get our hands on said password just yet, we will be looking, and will update you when the time comes.
