The holiday season is over, and we are pretty bummed about it. The entire season just felt so warm and fuzzy, and we kinda wish the festive cheer could continue all year. Unfortunately it can’t, but thanks to The Standard, East Village, we can at least keep the fun going until March.
The five alpine yurts that they set up for the holidays are staying up until March 1st, and we couldn’t be happier. These festive, Switzerland-inspired, makeshift tents are exactly what you need to stay cozy this winter. And in order to enjoy one, you need to order a fondue feast for 8-10 friends at $60 per person. The entire meal includes your choice of sausage or veggie fondue, salad, and apple strudel. You can get the drink package as well, for another $32 per person, which includes either a pot of hot cider or mulled red wine, as well as Aquavit shots and wine carafes.
Of course, you’re also free to enjoy a la carte cocktails and hot drinks in the heated Winter Garden, which is almost as festively wonderful as the yurts, and is open from 4pm to 8:30pm on weekdays and 12pm to 8:30pm on weekends. If you won’t settle for anything less than the best though, email firstname.lastname@example.org to make reservations, or risk it with a walk in. ‘Tis the (after) season.
