Star Wars fans, your ears may just prick like Yoda at this news: a Star Wars-themed pop-up bar has just come to New York, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, and just in time for the new release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. That's right — it's time to cross over to the Dark Side.
The New York location of the Dark Side Bar is the only one open as of this moment, but the other two locations are quickly garnering excitement. According the bar's website, the pop-up promises "the power, fury, and unequivocally macabre environment" that the Dark Side is known for, and has themed food and drinks (like The Galaxy, Red Force, and Blue Force) to go with it. While costumes are encouraged, they aren't mandatory, and anyone 21 plus is welcome to come take part in the bar's events. These include themed dance and DJ nights, trivia, intergalactic burlesque shows, games, and even speed dating (you know, in case you want to find an equally Star Wars-committed companion).
You'll find the New York location in trendy Soho, at 201 Lafayette Street. The Washington location, which opens on November 22 will be at 816 H Street Northeast (on the 2nd floor) and the Los Angeles location will follow on November 24, at 6925 Hollywood Boulevard. Tickets cost $33 per person in advance (including two cocktails per person), though you can still score walk-in spots for $40, if there's space.
