As far as rent prices go, New York is up there with the highest — even more expensive than big cities like Los Angeles, Chicago and Atlanta. And according to a new study, there's no better time to start searching for an apartment in the Big Apple than now.

A recent study by Renthop found that February is the cheapest month to rent in NYC — up to $171 cheaper than in July — the worst month for renting in the city.
