Let’s be honest: when it comes to adulting, we have no clue what the hell we’re doing. We suffered through high school and grinded through college, but balancing a checkbook sounds like a circus trick and we still call our parents whenever our car makes a funny noise.
Luckily, The Adulting School in Portland, Maine is offering classes to help get us on track. They offer workshops, summits, webinars, and blogs teaching topics like financial basics, health and wellness, building and fixing objects, and relationships/community. It’s like Home Economics, but for 20-somethings, and it goes well beyond how to bake a bundt cake. So instead of screwing off with your friends while attempting to learn life skills, you'll actually be learning about insurance policies and credit scores (and seriously, don’t screw off. This stuff is important).
Pricing is surprisingly reasonable. You get your first month free, and then you pay $19.99 a month to get access to everything, both online and at select locations. That means that as long as you’re a member, you can sign up for whatever lessons you want, whether it's resume writing, budgeting, removing red wine stains, or folding fitted sheets. For real though, that last one’s gotta be a hoax — there's no way people can actually fold those things.
