There's just one castle in the whole world that can lay claim to the title of 'Dracula's Castle', and it's located deep in the eerie mountain ranges of Transylvania.
If you're brave enough to handle a night in the Romanian manor, we've found the dream (or should we say nightmarish?) contest for you. Thanks to Airbnb, you and a fellow adventurer can spend Halloween night in Transylvania's spooky Bran Castle, said to have been the inspiration behind Bram Stoker's classic horror novel, Dracula.
If the mountaintop setting wasn't authentic enough, the winner will be hosted by none other than the author's great grandnephew.
Even cooler are the facilities available to you within the castle. Not only are there a whopping 57 rooms to explore, but you'll be greeted with an intimate candelit dinner, prepared just how it was in the novel itself. If the howling wolves outside don't keep you up, then you can try sleeping in velvet coffins in the Count's very own crypt.
There's a ton of lookout towers to explore too, and you can see (and snap) seriously incredible views of the Carpathian Mountains from the castle's terrace. If you do venture outside of your gothic abode, you'll find a whole host of other Transylvanian delights. For starters, there's the towering Black Church that really ought to be explored, plus an underground theme park hidden beneath the local salt mines.
So, if you fancy spending October 31 at the medieval fortress, you'll need to apply through Airbnb. Write to them with what you'd say to the Count if you came face-to-fang with him, and you'll be in with a chance of winning.
The lucky two who do will be flown in from anywhere in the world, for the spooktacular adventure of a lifetime...
