Plans are in place to launch a new floating hotel and spa in Sweden. But it’s not just any old floating hotel. The aptly named Arctic Bath will freeze into place come winter in the most unique way to experience Swedish Lapland yet.
Brought to you by the design team behind Sweden’s famous Treehotel, the Arctic Bath is not only a super cool hotel, it’s also a great place to gaze up in search of the Northern Lights.
The open centre bath will not be for the faint-hearted, kept at a shudderingly cold four degrees, but if you do take the plunge, you can always warm up in the accompanying spa and saunas,
Guests will also be kept warm when inside by timber logs which make up the exterior of the hotel. If you would prefer to enjoy a wood-burning fire, you can take you pick of minimalist cabins dotted around the perimeter, all of which boast a skylight for star gazing.
Building work for the hotel is already underway and is expected to open its doors to the first guests in early 2018.
