If there's one thing that garners Instagram 'influencers' their thousands of followers, it's the photos they take of stunning locations around the globe. From the colorful salt mines of Peru — to the intricate landscape of the Grand Canyon, for many of us, checking in on our favorite travel Instagrammers has become part of our daily routine.
One place that's captured my attention recently is the 24-hour train journey across Turkey. Taking passengers to the country's most remote, snow-covered corners, the 1365-kilometre ‘Doğu Ekspresi’ (Eastern Express) route travels from the Turkish capital of Ankara to the border city of Kars.
Its stunning scenery means it's fast becoming one of the most photographed locations on the planet — and according to the Yeni Şafak newspaper, one of the busiest, currently operating at 100 percent occupancy.
Since the start of this year alone, over 20,000 people have taken the train trip of a lifetime. Take a look at the photos below and see why you should join them.
