Having served as the mecca of EDM and rave culture since its inception in the 90s, the Electric Daisy Carnival has been pleasing its neon-clad and glittered-out fans with amazing lineups year after year. The schedule for EDC Vegas 2017 has just been released this week, and as expected, it does not disappoint.
While not kicking off until June 16, there's always plenty of planning required leading up to the big event. From Afrojack to Zedd, there is literally a whole alphabet of shows to juggle between three days, with some of the biggest crowds expected for the biggest acts. To help you out, here are our favorite artists on each of the eight stages.
Bonnie x Clyde
The ever-popular upsidedownHOUSE is hands-down the best spot for discovering new favorites. This is where the Discovery Project takes place and up-and-coming DJs compete onstage for a chance to perform with DJ all-stars. With only one EP under their belt, Bonnie x Clyde are young but have already performed at EDC Tokyo and caught a lot of fans with their sound.
Decked out with an Egyptian theme this year, the wasteLAND stage will again host EDC's hardstyle acts. Dutch DJ duo LNY TNZ (that's pronounced "Looney Tunes") will be bringing their hard-hitting beats and versatile hits for a guaranteed good dancing time.
LA natives Americo Garcia & Jorge Medina are the masterminds behind Boombox Cartel's sick drops. Mashing electro, dubstep, trap, and hip hop to create a forward-thinking sound since 2012, there's no doubt they'll be putting the 'bass' into bassPOD's stage.
Louis the Child
Sharing a stage with big names like Major Lazer, Autograf and Yellow Claw, Chicago duo Louis the Child will bring their undeniably catchy indie sensibilities to the expansive grassy fields of cosmicMEADOW. The stage will host a total of 26 of the year's most popular DJs, producers and live acts, making it one of the most sought-after areas of EDC.
neonGARDEN will provide a simple set up and some deep, deep tunes, building the perfect natural environment for all the underground house heads (and by that we mean you will definitely feel like you're dancing in a Berlin warehouse). Welsh DJ and producer Jamie Jones has consistently been voted as one of the top DJs for quite a few years now by Resident Advisor, so you know this is going to be good.
Above & Beyond
The only new stage at EDC 2017, quantumVALLEY will be trance-focused, served with a side of house. Prog trance legends Above & Beyond will by all means be worth the massive crowds. Infected Mushroom and Paul van Dyk will also be in the house.
Decked out with the most LED panels and lasers, not to mention smoke machines and fire spitters, theres no doubt circuitGROUNDS is the flashiest of stages. Swedish pair Galantis (of which one member is also part of group Miike Snow) will be putting on a great show, with Zedd, Flosstradamus and RUFUS DU SOL making notable appearances as well.
kineticFIELD is the mother of all EDC stages. Embracing a "Gaia Kinetic Hall" theme this year, we hear there will be "owl guardians" onstage, promising an intriguing if not strange vibe. London DJ, record producer, and songwriter Jonas Blue fuses EDM and pop into a feel-good dance party; having only released three singles since breaking out on the scene, all three tunes have reached top-ten-status on international charts. If you're here to see the biggest headliners of the year, this stage is the spot.
